Bio I am a 40 year old mother of two daughters, wife to one husband, teacher to 18 preschoolers, daughter to one mother, and sister to one brother. I am a fat, liberal democrat living in rural republican America, Lynden, Washington to be a little more specific. Sometimes I am cranky, usually because I am dieting, but most often I am silly and funny (at least I think so.) I am not comfortable with strangers or people I do not know well. This can lead people to think I'm not friendly. Actually I am quite friendly and giving, I just need time to get to know you. With people I do know well I am most accused of having an overactive mouth. This doesn't just apply to my being fat, but also to my propensity to always say what I am thinking, despite the fact that I shouldn't. Needless to say I am still working on that inner dialog thing that so many people these days seem to use.
For the past 12 years I have been a card carrying member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, a historical reinactment group. So you could say I live a little in the past. I tend to focus my historical studies on the Viking age. Anyone up for a good village pillage? No? Well me neither, although I can hold a grudge for a long time. I just do the cool clothes and jewelry and such. I also enjoy watching my husband do the armoured fighting. Nothing hotter than a man in leather and metal. Really hot!!! I mean you should see all the sweat:)
My kids seem to enjoy going to events as well. It is a whole weekend of dress-up and camping all rolled into one.
